Cairo International (HECA/CAI) has a dedicated business aviation facility and is the main gateway for corporate, government and long-haul movements. Traffic is heavy and ground time can be slower than in the Gulf, so realistic connection and turnaround planning matters more than shaving minutes off a block time. Sphinx International (HESX/SPX), west of the city near the Pyramids, is a useful alternative for some trips and reduces the drive from the western suburbs and Giza.
On the Red Sea, Hurghada (HEGN/HRG) and Marsa Alam (HEMA/RMF) serve the resort corridor, and Sharm El Sheikh (HESH/SSH) handles both leisure and a regular flow of conferences and summits. October to April is peak for the Red Sea and the Nile, with Christmas, New Year and Easter the tightest weeks. Summer is very hot in Upper Egypt, which affects performance out of Luxor and Aswan and pushes departures earlier.
