Private Jet Charter Aswan
Aswan is the upper-Nile gateway: the airport most cultural itineraries use to join or leave a private dahabiya or cruise vessel, to visit Philae and the High Dam, and to connect onward to Abu Simbel. Aswan International (HESN/ASW) has a long runway and is comfortable for business jets, with a short transfer to the river and the town's hotels.
Flying privately to Aswan
The genuine operating factor here is heat. Summer daytime temperatures in Upper Egypt are extreme, and that affects departure performance — takeoff weight, fuel load and therefore whether a sector goes non-stop with a full cabin. Serious operators plan Aswan departures for the early morning or evening in the hot months rather than mid-afternoon, and we quote on that basis.
Trips here are almost always part of a multi-stop itinerary — Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, sometimes a Red Sea finish — so crew duty, ground time between legs and vessel embarkation windows matter as much as the flight times themselves.
Airports used for Aswan charter
- HESN / ASW — Aswan International: Primary field; short transfer to the Nile corniche, cruise moorings and Philae
- HELX / LXR — Luxor International: Northern Nile gateway; commonly paired with Aswan on one itinerary
- HEBL / ABS — Abu Simbel: Short hop south for the temples, usually flown as a day sector from Aswan
Slots, permits and curfews
Aswan is not slot-coordinated, but PPR, handling hours and parking are confirmed with the ground handler, and cultural-season peaks (late autumn to early spring) fill the ramp. Egyptian landing and overflight permits are filed by the operating AOC holder. Summer departures are normally planned outside the hottest hours for performance reasons.

How MEGA arranges the flight
MEGA arranges every flight through registered third-party operators. Aircraft, crew, permits, slots and handling are confirmed per trip and per date, so nothing on this page is an availability guarantee.
Send the route, dates, passenger count and any medical, pet, cargo or ground-transport requirement and the desk returns written aircraft options with the operating structure set out. One team quotes the trip and then runs it.
