Private Jet Charter Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel exists on an itinerary for one reason: the relocated rock temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari above Lake Nasser, close to the Sudanese border. Abu Simbel Airport (HEBL/ABS) is a short drive from the site, which is why almost every private movement here is a day sector — in from Aswan, Luxor or Cairo in the morning, temples, and out again the same day.
Flying privately to Abu Simbel
The airport is small and quiet, geared to seasonal tourist traffic rather than continuous operations. Handling is basic but sufficient for business jets: what has to be arranged in advance is PPR, ground time, the vehicle at the aircraft and, in the hot months, a departure slot that avoids the worst of the afternoon heat.
Because the site's visiting rhythm and the airport's hours both shape the day, we build the plan backwards from the time the client wants to be standing in front of the temples — then confirm that the aircraft, crew duty and the return leg all fit around it.
Airports used for Abu Simbel charter
- HEBL / ABS — Abu Simbel: Primary field; short transfer to the temple complex above Lake Nasser
- HESN / ASW — Aswan International: Usual origin for the day sector and the practical alternate
- HELX / LXR — Luxor International: Alternative origin when the itinerary is based further north
Slots, permits and curfews
PPR, handling hours and ground time are arranged with the handler in advance; the airport is not staffed for unannounced arrivals. Egyptian landing and overflight permits are filed by the operating AOC holder. In summer, departure timing is planned around temperature for performance reasons.

How MEGA arranges the flight
MEGA arranges every flight through registered third-party operators. Aircraft, crew, permits, slots and handling are confirmed per trip and per date, so nothing on this page is an availability guarantee.
Send the route, dates, passenger count and any medical, pet, cargo or ground-transport requirement and the desk returns written aircraft options with the operating structure set out. One team quotes the trip and then runs it.
