Fleet — Aircraft Available Through MEGA
The aircraft types we place on trips most often, from single-engine turboprops through to VIP airliners. Every aircraft is operated by a licensed third-party operator holding its own air operator certificate; MEGA arranges the flight, the routing and the ground arrangements, and availability is confirmed per trip and per date.
Very Light Jet
Light jets are built for one to three hour sectors with a small group and modest baggage. They accept shorter runways than heavier types, which widens the choice of airports near the destination, and their handling and parking costs at busy fields are lower than a heavy cabin's.
Expect a seated cabin rather than a standing one on most types in this class, limited baggage volume, and a real payload-range trade: filling every seat usually means accepting a fuel stop on the longer legs the brochure range implies. For sectors regularly beyond three hours, a midsize cabin is the more comfortable answer.

Light Jet charterMidsize Jet
Midsize jets are the working answer to three to five hour sectors: a stand-up or near stand-up cabin, an enclosed lavatory, real baggage volume and enough range to cross a region without a fuel stop. For business travel with a small team and carry-on plus checked bags, this is usually where the compromise lands well.
Cabin dimensions, not range, tend to decide the choice inside this class. Sleeping is possible on a divan but not comfortable, and long overwater sectors are better placed on a heavy or ultra-long-range cabin.
Midsize Jet charterSuper Midsize Jet
Super-midsize types were created for the trip that a midsize cabin can only just reach — transcontinental sectors, or Gulf-to-Europe legs — with a stand-up cabin, a proper galley and a separated lavatory. Cruise speeds are close to heavy-jet figures, so block times on long legs are competitive.
They remain small enough to use the same airports as a midsize aircraft in most cases, which keeps flexibility on arrival. The limit is bed-quality rest: the class carries divans and lie-flat arrangements on some types, but it is not a two-cabin aircraft.
Super Midsize Jet charterHeavy Jet
Heavy jets carry a larger group with full baggage over long sectors, with a stand-up cabin, a full galley, an enclosed lavatory and, on most types, a divan that converts for rest. This is the class that suits an executive team travelling together or a family with real luggage.
The airport list is shorter than for lighter types — runway length, ramp space and handling capability matter — and positioning a heavy cabin costs more than a light one, so where the aircraft happens to be has a noticeable effect on the trip.
Heavy Jet charterUltra Long Range Jet
Ultra-long-range aircraft exist to remove the fuel stop from intercontinental flying. Cabins are divided into distinct zones so a group can work, eat and sleep separately, and lower cabin altitudes with high-bandwidth connectivity make an overnight sector genuinely usable.
Range figures published for this class assume defined payloads and still winds; a full cabin against strong headwinds shortens what the aircraft achieves on the day. Airport choice narrows too, since runway length, ramp space and handling capability all have to suit a large airframe.
Ultra Long Range Jet charterVIP Airliner
VIP airliners are commercial airframes with bespoke private interiors: separate bedrooms, showers on some aircraft, conference and dining areas, and crew rest. They carry a large group intercontinentally with baggage that would defeat any business jet, and each interior is genuinely one of a kind.
They demand more from the ground: long runways, wide-body handling, sufficient ramp space and, at some airports, prior arrangement for a private wide-body arrival. Slots and permits are checked earlier in the planning cycle than for a business jet, which is why lead time matters on this class.
VIP Airliner charterTurboprop
Turboprops earn their place on short sectors and awkward airfields rather than on speed. They climb quickly to a useful altitude, burn markedly less fuel per hour than a jet of similar cabin size, and can work runways that are short, unpaved or high — which on regional work often means landing closer to the destination than a jet could.
The trade-offs are honest ones: cruise speeds sit well below jet figures, so any sector beyond roughly two hours starts to feel long, and cabins are narrower with less baggage volume. On legs under about 600 nautical miles the door-to-door difference against a light jet is usually smaller than the numbers suggest, because taxi, climb and descent dominate the trip.
Turboprop charterHelicopter
Class positioning decides most of what matters on a trip: how far the aircraft can go with the passengers and baggage actually on board, which runways it can use, and how comfortable the cabin is for the hours involved.
Published figures are manufacturer maximums. The operations desk checks each leg against the specific aircraft, its interior and the day's conditions before any routing or figure is issued.

How an aircraft is selected
- Sector length against the achievable range with the passengers and baggage actually on board.
- Runway performance, elevation and temperature at both ends.
- Cabin height and layout for the hours involved, and whether anyone needs to sleep.
- Where a suitable aircraft is positioned, since positioning affects both timing and cost.
- Operator approvals for the airports, airspace and any special requirements on the trip.
