Velana International (VRMM/MLE), on its own island beside Malé, is the single gateway for almost all private traffic. Business aviation handling is well established — the airport receives Gulf, European and Asian heavy jets daily in season — and parking during the December-to-April peak is the genuine constraint, requested early alongside the handling.
The onward transfer decides the itinerary. Resorts in the near atolls are reached by speedboat at any hour; the farther atolls are seaplane territory, and seaplanes fly daylight hours only. An evening arrival into Malé can therefore mean a night near the airport or a resort change — we plan the jet schedule around the transfer window, not the other way round.
