Request a charter quote
Send your dates and party size, and the amount of ski equipment. At Aspen the aircraft must suit a high-altitude mountain airport, so we plan the aircraft and an alternative airport together.
Every mission is quoted individually. No prices are published on this page, and no aircraft, slot or parking is held until it is confirmed by the operator and the authority.
Flying private to Aspen
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport sits at high elevation in a narrow mountain valley, with a single runway, mountain approaches and operating restrictions. Pilots and operators need specific experience and approvals for the airport, and not every aircraft can use it.
Aircraft wingspan and weight limits apply at ASE, which rules out some large-cabin jets. When that is the case, or when weather closes the airport, Eagle County (for Vail and Beaver Creek) and Rifle are the usual alternatives, with ground transfer to Aspen.
Christmas, New Year and Presidents' Day are the busiest weeks, when parking at ASE is in very high demand and reservations may be required. Early planning is essential.
How a US charter is arranged
You send the route, dates, passengers and baggage. We check suitable aircraft with licensed US operators, confirm positioning, airport and FBO, and return a written quote that names the aircraft, the operator and what is included.
Once you accept the quote and contract, the operator confirms crew and aircraft, and our desk coordinates the FBO, catering and ground transport through to arrival. Changes are handled through one point of contact.
Airports and typical sectors
Flight times are broad planning indications and vary with aircraft, winds and routing. No prices are published.
- Aspen/Pitkin County (ASE) — Closest to Aspen and Snowmass; high-altitude mountain airport with aircraft size limits and operating-hour restrictions.
- Eagle County Regional (EGE) — Serves Vail and Beaver Creek, and is the main alternative for aircraft that cannot use ASE; roughly a two-hour drive to Aspen in good conditions.
- Rifle Garfield County (RIL) — A further alternative west of Aspen, used when weather or limits affect ASE.
- New York to Aspen — Roughly four to five hours.
- Los Angeles to Aspen — Roughly two hours.
Aircraft for Aspen
Midsize and super-midsize jets are common at Aspen. Larger jets may need to use Eagle County. The operator confirms performance for the date, temperature and load. Full specifications for each type are on the charter fleet pages.
- Light jet — Economical for small parties and short sectors such as Los Angeles to Aspen. Baggage space and range are the limits we check.
- Midsize and super-midsize jet — The most-requested categories for US business travel: a taller cabin, more baggage and non-stop range for most domestic sectors, including New York to Aspen on the larger super-midsize types.
- Heavy and ultra-long-range jet — For larger parties, overnight comfort, coast-to-coast with margin, or onward flights to Europe, the Middle East and Asia without a fuel stop.

Snow, low cloud and wind can close ASE or delay arrivals. We agree an alternative airport and ground transfer in advance.
Ski equipment
Skis, boots and winter luggage take space; tell us early so the aircraft hold is suitable.
Peak weeks
Christmas, New Year and Presidents' Day bring the highest demand; parking at ASE may need a reservation.
De-icing
De-icing is common in winter and is charged at cost when needed.

Questions we are asked on this corridor
Can any private jet land at Aspen?
No. Aspen has wingspan and weight limits and demanding mountain approaches, and operators need specific approvals. Larger jets may use Eagle County (EGE) instead.
How much does a private jet charter to Aspen cost?
We do not publish a figure. The quote is built from the aircraft category, flight time, positioning, dates, passengers and baggage, airport and FBO fees, crew duty and any overnights. Every request is quoted individually and in writing.
What happens if weather closes Aspen airport?
The flight diverts to an agreed alternative such as Eagle County or Rifle, with ground transfer to Aspen arranged.
When should I book for Christmas in Aspen?
As early as possible. Christmas and New Year are the busiest weeks, and parking at ASE may require a reservation.
Who operates the aircraft?
Licensed third-party operators holding their own FAA Part 135 (or equivalent) air carrier certificates. Where a carrier holds a rating such as ARGUS, IS-BAO or Wyvern, that rating belongs to the operator and is confirmed at quotation. MEGA arranges and coordinates the flight; it does not hold an air operator certificate or claim those ratings itself.
