Private Jet Charter Sicily
Sicily is large enough that the arrival airport decides the quality of the trip. The island has three practical fields for private aviation — Catania (LICC/CTA) on the east coast, Palermo (LICJ/PMO) on the north-west and Trapani (LICT/TPS) at the western tip — and the right choice is simply the one closest to where the trip ends: Taormina and the Etna coast from Catania, Palermo city and the northern resorts from Palermo, Marsala and the Egadi side from Trapani.
Flying privately to Sicily
Catania is the busiest and the most capable, with full executive handling and the shortest road legs to the east-coast addresses; it is also the field most affected by Etna's occasional ash, which is an operational fact the operator plans around rather than a reason to avoid the airport. Palermo serves the capital and the northern coast well, and Trapani is the quiet, uncomplicated option for the west — smaller, with a more limited executive infrastructure that suits light and midsize aircraft.
For the coastal resorts, the last leg can be flown rather than driven: helicopter transfers from Palermo reach the resort coastline in minutes instead of an hour or more on the coast road. As everywhere, the rotary leg is planned in daylight, subject to weather, operator acceptance and landing-site permission — with the chauffeured car always held as the alternative.
Airports used for Sicily charter
- LICC / CTA — Catania–Fontanarossa: The east-coast gateway; full executive handling, closest to Taormina and the Etna coast
- LICJ / PMO — Palermo Falcone Borsellino: The north-west gateway for Palermo city and the northern coastal resorts
- LICT / TPS — Trapani–Birgi: The western field for Marsala and the Egadi side; suits light and midsize aircraft
Slots, permits and curfews
None of the three fields is slot-constrained in the way the northern Italian hubs are, but the summer season concentrates demand hard — July and August weekends, and the weeks around the island's event calendar, reward early confirmation of parking and handling. Catania's operations can be affected by volcanic ash from Etna; when that happens the operator re-plans, and Palermo or Trapani often becomes the practical answer for the day.

How MEGA arranges the flight
MEGA arranges every flight through registered third-party operators. Aircraft, crew, permits, slots and handling are confirmed per trip and per date, so nothing on this page is an availability guarantee.
Send the route, dates, passenger count and any medical, pet, cargo or ground-transport requirement and the desk returns written aircraft options with the operating structure set out. One team quotes the trip and then runs it.
