Private Jet Charter in Italy
Italy's charter map has three clear pillars: Milan for business, Rome for institutions, and the coast and islands for a very concentrated summer season.
Private aviation in Italy
Milan is the busiest Italian market. Linate (LIML/LIN) has a dedicated business aviation terminal minutes from the city and is the default for executive movements; Malpensa handles larger aircraft and long-haul; Bergamo absorbs overflow. Rome pairs Ciampino (LIRA/CIA), the traditional business aviation airport close to the centre, with Fiumicino for heavy and intercontinental traffic.
From June to September the market moves south and offshore. Olbia (LIEO/OLB) serves the Costa Smeralda and is one of Europe's tightest summer airports for parking; Cagliari and Alghero cover the rest of Sardinia. Naples (LIRN/NAP) is the gateway for the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Ischia, with helicopter transfers doing the last leg. Palermo and Catania serve Sicily.
For culture and events, Venice (LIPZ/VCE) and the smaller Treviso field cover the lagoon and the Biennale, and Florence (LIRQ/FLR) serves Tuscany with a short runway that restricts types — Pisa is the usual alternative for larger aircraft. Slot pressure around Milan design week, Venice events and August weekends is the recurring planning theme.

Permits, slots, customs and handling
- Linate, Ciampino, Olbia and Venice apply slot coordination; August weekends in Sardinia are the hardest parking problem in the Italian summer.
- Florence's runway restricts aircraft type and payload — we check performance before offering it rather than after.
- Italian handling and customs are arranged through the business aviation terminal where one exists; smaller fields have published hours.
- Helicopter and boat transfers for Capri, the Amalfi Coast and the Costa Smeralda are booked alongside the flight, since they often decide the arrival airport.
Seasonal demand
July and August are the offshore peak, with Sardinia and the Amalfi Coast at their tightest and repositioning driving cost. Milan peaks around design week and the autumn business season; Venice around the Biennale and film festival; the Dolomites in winter.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Sardinia so expensive in August?
Parking and positioning. Olbia fills, aircraft cannot stay, and the empty repositioning legs are priced into the trip. Midweek and shoulder dates are materially easier.
Can we land in Florence?
Smaller and midsize types can, subject to performance and conditions; larger aircraft use Pisa or Bologna. We check the specific aircraft before confirming.
What is the best airport for the Amalfi Coast?
Naples, then a helicopter or car transfer. Salerno's development is worth watching, but Naples remains the practical choice for most arrivals.
