Private Jet Charter Lake Como
Lake Como has no airport of its own, so every private arrival is a two-part trip: a jet into Milan, then a road or boat leg to the lake. The gateway decision is genuinely geographical. Milan Linate (LIML/LIN) is the business-aviation field closest to the city and suits the eastern and southern lake — Como town, Cernobbio and the lower shore. Milan Malpensa (LIMC/MXP) sits west and is the natural choice for Tremezzina, Bellagio-side itineraries and long-range arrivals, with the larger runways and full executive handling. Bergamo (LIME/BGY) is the occasional third option when Milan parking is tight.
Flying privately to Lake Como
Lugano (LSZA/LUG), just over the Swiss border, is the closest runway to the northern lake — but it is a special-approach aerodrome with a steep descent profile that requires specifically qualified crews and suitable aircraft, so it is offered only when the operator and the day genuinely support it. The lake itself also has a long seaplane tradition at Como, one of the oldest water aerodromes in Europe, though scheduled seaplane transfers are a niche option rather than the standard plan.
The last leg is part of the experience and part of the planning. The mid-lake villages — Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo — are often faster by boat from Como or a lakeside landing stage than by the shore road in summer traffic. We plan the chauffeur and, where it helps, the boat handover as part of the trip, and we time arrivals around the simple fact that the lake's roads are narrow, beautiful and slow in high season.
Airports used for Lake Como charter
- LIML / LIN — Milan Linate: Closest executive field to Milan and the southern lake; preferred for Como town and Cernobbio
- LIMC / MXP — Milan Malpensa: Long-range and western-lake gateway; full executive handling, larger runways
- LIME / BGY — Milan Bergamo — Orio al Serio: Overflow option when Milan parking or slots are constrained
- LSZA / LUG — Lugano: Closest runway to the northern lake; steep-approach field requiring qualified crews and suitable types
Slots, permits and curfews
Linate has published operating hours and slot coordination for business aviation; Malpensa is less constrained and better for late arrivals and larger aircraft. Lugano is a special-approach aerodrome — crew qualification and aircraft performance decide whether it can be offered at all, and it is never assumed. In the summer season and around Milan's fashion and design weeks, parking at Linate is the binding constraint and early confirmation matters.

How MEGA arranges the flight
MEGA arranges every flight through registered third-party operators. Aircraft, crew, permits, slots and handling are confirmed per trip and per date, so nothing on this page is an availability guarantee.
Send the route, dates, passenger count and any medical, pet, cargo or ground-transport requirement and the desk returns written aircraft options with the operating structure set out. One team quotes the trip and then runs it.
