Flying inside India: what actually governs the itinerary
India applies cabotage rules to non-scheduled operations, so a revenue flight between two Indian points is normally flown by an Indian-registered aircraft operated under a DGCA Non-Scheduled Operator Permit, while a foreign-registered jet carries the international sectors. We confirm operator entitlement before quoting, so an itinerary is never sold on an aircraft that cannot legally fly one of its legs.
October to March is the dry, busy half of the Indian year, and November to February stacks wedding season, the post-monsoon business travel peak and the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Phuket high season on top of each other. Parking and crew duty, not aircraft numbers, are usually what run out first.

Frequently asked questions
Can a foreign-registered private jet fly domestic sectors inside India?
Generally no. A revenue flight between two Indian points is normally flown by an Indian-registered aircraft under a DGCA Non-Scheduled Operator Permit. We pair that with a foreign-registered aircraft for the international sectors of the same itinerary where that is the better aircraft.
Which intra-India routes does MEGA quote most often?
Mumbai–Delhi, Mumbai–Goa, Delhi–Goa, Mumbai–Bangalore, Delhi–Hyderabad, Bangalore–Goa and the southern triangle of Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, plus multi-stop itineraries covering three or four cities in a working day.
Why does aircraft availability tighten between November and February?
That window carries wedding season, the post-monsoon business travel peak and the island high season at the same time. Aircraft, crew duty and parking all compete, so booking several weeks ahead widens the choice.
Which Indian airports handle private jets properly?
Mumbai (BOM/VABB), Delhi (DEL/VIDP), Bangalore (BLR/VOBL), Hyderabad (HYD/VOHS) and Chennai (MAA/VOMM) all have established general aviation handling. Goa is served by Dabolim, which shares a naval airfield and has limited general aviation access, and by Manohar International at Mopa; the airport choice is confirmed per date.
What does an intra-India charter cost?
There is no published figure. Price depends on aircraft category, positioning, date, number of legs and nights away, handling, crew and applicable Indian taxes. Our quote states the operating carrier and what is included before you commit.
