Embraer Executive Jets: Charter and Ownership Guide

Embraer's executive range runs from the Phenom very light jets through the Praetor midsize family to the out-of-production Legacy and Lineage large-cabin aircraft.

Embraer Executive Jets in the charter market

Origin: Brazil — light, midsize and large-cabin executive jets.

The Praetor 500 and 600 brought full standing height and flat floors into the midsize and super-midsize classes, which is why they now appear in Gulf charter fleets alongside Challengers and Longitudes. Hot-and-high performance is a genuine advantage on summer departures from inland Saudi airports.

At the large end, the Legacy 650E's baggage hold — close to 286 cu ft — remains unmatched in its class, and the Lineage 1000E offers airliner-derived cabin volume. Both are out of production but still flying.

Phenom aircraft are efficient for one to two hour legs with four or five passengers. Beyond that, a midsize cabin is usually the better answer, and we will say so.

Praetor — midsize and super-midsize

Standing-height cabins, flat floors and strong hot-and-high performance.

Phenom — light

Efficient short-sector aircraft for small groups.

Legacy and Lineage — large cabin

Out of production, still active on charter, exceptional baggage and cabin volume.
