Cessna Citation Jets: Charter and Ownership Guide
Textron Aviation's Citation line spans very light jets through to the super-midsize Longitude, and is the most numerous business jet family in the world.
Cessna Citation in the charter market
Origin: United States — the broadest business jet range in production.
Ubiquity is the practical advantage. On most regional routes, something in the Citation family can usually be found at short notice, which matters when a trip firms up two days out rather than two weeks.
The current range centres on the Longitude, Latitude and the newly certified Ascend, which replaces the long-serving XLS+. Older Citation X, XLS and Sovereign aircraft remain widely chartered and are often the cost-effective answer on short sectors.
Cabin height varies more across this family than any other. The Longitude and Latitude offer standing height; the XLS and CJ series do not, and on legs beyond three hours that difference becomes the deciding factor.
