How to RFQ an Operator Without Wasting Anyone's Time
The fastest quotes go to RFQs that already answer the questions dispatch is going to ask. Here's the short version for brokers sourcing lift through us.
- Lead with pax count, total bag weight and any hazmat (lithium, oxygen).
- Name the airports — IATA is fine, ICAO is better. Flag PPR and slot-coordinated fields.
- Time windows beat fixed times: a 90-minute departure window unlocks lift fixed times don't.
- Tell us how the client has flown before — it sets expectations on commercial versus private operating rules.
- Flag overflight realities early: Russian closure, Libyan transit, GCC weekend permit lag.
- If there's a budget, share it — we'll tell you honestly when it's within reach.
What a great RFQ looks like
"6 pax + 2 children, ~140kg bags, no hazmat. LMML → LFMN Friday between 14:00–16:30 local, returning Sunday afternoon flexible. Client has flown PC-12 before, open to light jet. Budget around €18–22k one-way, will pay extra for a same-tail return." That gets a quote in under 20 minutes.
What slows everything down
Vague pax counts ("6–10"), no return time, missing baggage info, or a fixed departure inside a slot-coordinated field's restricted band without flexibility. Each one adds a round-trip with dispatch before a price exists.
