GBTA APAC Conference 2026: Navigating Singapore's Business Travel Future

Strategic insights and operational efficiency defined the recent conference.

What's happening in Singapore

Singapore recently hosted the GBTA APAC Conference at the iconic Marina Bay Sands from May 12-13, 2026. This significant gathering brought together a diverse cohort of business travel professionals, thought leaders, and decision-makers from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The conference agenda focused on fostering networking opportunities and engaging in high-level strategic discussions pertinent to both the middle-market and enterprise travel sectors. Participants explored emerging trends, challenges, and innovative solutions shaping the future of business travel within the dynamic APAC landscape.

Why this matters for private travellers

Attending a high-profile event such as the GBTA APAC Conference in a major global hub like Singapore presents distinct logistical challenges. Commercial flight scheduling, particularly for multi-leg journeys, can consume significant time and introduce complexities. Furthermore, during peak conference periods, hotel availability often becomes constrained, and ground transfer services experience heightened demand, increasing transit times and overall travel friction.

How a private jet changes the equation

For executives requiring precise timing and seamless transit to and from such critical events, private aviation offers a compelling solution. A bespoke charter allows for direct travel, circumventing the need for multiple commercial connections. Executives can depart from their home base and arrive in Singapore, utilising suitable FBOs, potentially on the morning of the conference, maximising in-person engagement.

Following the conclusion of the event, the flexibility of private travel allows for immediate departure, enabling delegates to return home the same evening. This negates the requirement for overnight stays, optimises executive downtime, and mitigates the inherent pressures associated with commercial travel during major events. Seletar Airport (WSSL) offers dedicated facilities for private aircraft.
